Step-by-Step Troubleshooting

POS / Card Reader Not Connecting

  • Restart the POS and card reader.
  • Ensure devices are connected to the “Brewsy-Network” WiFi (not guest).
  • Move the card reader closer to the router.
  • Check router lights — if the “Internet” light is red, proceed to router reset.

Router Reset

  • Locate the router (usually in back office).
  • Switch off at the power socket.
  • Wait 30 seconds.
  • Switch back on and wait up to 5 minutes for full reboot.
  • Reconnect devices to WiFi.

Guest WiFi Not Working

  • Confirm the guest WiFi network (“Brewsy-Guest”) is visible.
  • Restart router if hidden.
  • Check Guest WiFi portal is loading on customer devices.
  • If persistent, log issue in Franchise Portal under IT Support.

Slow Internet Speeds

  • Disconnect any non-essential devices (staff personal devices should not use café WiFi).
  • Check for large downloads/updates on POS tablets and pause them.
  • If still slow, perform a router reset.
